SMS / Messaging Terms

Effective / Last updated: August 16, 2026

Tarnvek provides messaging tooling and provider integration to service businesses. When you receive a text message through Tarnvek, the sender is the business you interacted with — not Tarnvek. These terms explain how those messages work.

These terms and policies govern use of Tarnvek. A separately executed pilot agreement or order form can add to or override these business-specific terms where it expressly says so.

1. Who is sending the message

A business uses Tarnvek to communicate with its own customers. Tarnvek supplies the software and connects to a telecommunications provider to transmit messages. The business chooses whom to contact and is responsible for the content and legality of its messages.

2. What kinds of messages are sent

  • Replies to a customer interaction, such as an automatic text back after a missed or unanswered call.
  • Service conversation messages, including questions, quotes, and scheduling back-and-forth.
  • Appointment or service updates related to a job.
  • Requests for honest feedback or a review after a completed job.

Marketing or promotional messages are not sent through these service conversations without the separate consent required by applicable law and carrier rules.

3. Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the business — for example, how many times you call or reply. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Tarnvek does not charge recipients for messages.

4. Opting out and getting help

  • Reply STOP to opt out of further messages. Other recognized opt-out words include QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT OUT, and STOP ALL where the provider supports them.
  • Reply HELP for help.
  • Where supported, replying START or UNSTOP can re-enable messages after an opt-out.
  • An opt-out applies to messages from that business or campaign, as technically applicable at the provider and number level. It does not automatically opt you out of messages from other businesses.

Once an opt-out is recorded, further messages are blocked until valid re-consent is received.

5. Delivery is not guaranteed

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on carrier networks, device conditions, provider filtering, and registration status, and cannot be guaranteed.

6. Business responsibilities

  • Businesses using Tarnvek are responsible for lawful opt-in and consent, for maintaining consent and opt-out records, and for honoring opt-out requests.
  • Businesses are responsible for message content and for complying with applicable telecom, messaging, and consumer-protection rules.
  • Businesses are responsible for confirming they are authorized to forward calls from the numbers they configure.
  • Tarnvek provides tooling, opt-out handling, and provider integration; it does not supply consent on a business's behalf.

7. Provider and carrier approval

Messaging features depend on telecommunications provider onboarding and carrier registration. Until those approvals are in place for an account, messaging may be pending or unavailable, and Tarnvek will show that status rather than imply that messaging is live.

8. Privacy and terms

Message content and phone numbers are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and use of Tarnvek is governed by our Terms of Service.
